1. Open editor to sign

Contracts: sign → flatten → download

  1. Sign in the editor — export auto-locks when a signature is present (or turn on “Flatten & lock on export” in Settings for fillable forms).
  2. Flatten & lock so forms/annotations can't be edited — the editor auto-locks when you export a signature, or use Flatten & lock (or the Flatten chip after export).
  3. Download the locked PDF — ready to send.

Soft limits for browser stability: prefer under 20 MB and ~50 pages (harder past ~80 MB / 200 pages). 100% local — nothing uploaded.

Questions

How do I sign a PDF here?

Open the editor from this page, add your PDF, create a signature (draw, type, or upload), place it, then export. Export can flatten and lock when a signature is present.

Is signing the same as DocuSign?

No. This is a free visual signature on the PDF in your browser. It is not a paid e-sign workflow with identity checks or audit trails.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Signing runs locally. Your PDF stays on your device.

Should I flatten after signing?

For contracts, yes — flatten and lock so form fields and annotations are harder to change. Use Flatten after export if needed.

Can I request someone else to sign?

Use Request signature for a simple pack you can email. It is not a hosted signing portal.
